Registration is FREE and open to participants ages 2–18 of all abilities. Participants will receive a New Balance hat (while supplies last).

Rising NYRR Mindful Virtual Run

While Rising New York Road Runners develops kids’ movement skills through running-based activities, it is just as important to teach kids how to calm their minds and bodies. Celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month and running’s profound impact on mental well-being by signing up young runners of all ages and abilities for the free Rising NYRR Mindful Virtual Run. By registering, kids commit to run or walk any distance between May 1 and May 31. Sign up today!

We welcome all young participants with disabilities, including but not limited to, participants that use wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, and other mobility devices.     We’ve updated our website to increase inclusivity and representation in our races. Parents/guardians can register youth runners as girl, boy, or nonbinary. Visit our FAQ page for more information on how to update your profile.

  • Number Pickup

    Race numbers may be picked up at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the New Balance Run Hub at 320 West 57th Street (between Eighth and Ninth Avenues) in advance of the event on the following dates:

    Parents/guardians of runners are encouraged to pick up race numbers at the NYRR RUNCENTER to avoid event-day lines.

    On event day, race number pickup will be available at Race-Day Central, located near David Dinkins Circle in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Pickup times are:

    • Stage 1: 8:30 a.m.–10:00 a.m.
    • Stage 2: 7:50 a.m.–9:20 a.m.
    • Stage 3: 7:30 a.m.–9:00 a.m.

    If you plan to pick up a runner's race number on race day, please arrive at least 60 minutes before the start of their run.

More Event Information

Cancellation Policy

If NYRR cancels an offering on the direction of local, city, or state authorities, parents/guardians will be informed as soon as possible. Events will not be rescheduled.
