Celebrate the legacy of NYRR and running legend Grete Waitz with Rising New York Road Runners.

Event Details

Young runners will run in Central Park near the very course where Grete made history winning five NYRR New York Mini 10K titles, setting road race world records in 1979 and 1980, and running the final miles of her record-breaking nine New York City Marathon victories. Beyond her achievements, Grete was the founding chair of the NYRR Foundation, now known as NYRR Community Impact, inspiring future generations of runners.
