Due to limited available dates, we are unable to reschedule races. While this race is non-refundable, given the last-minute cancellation, we are offering you the opportunity to receive value for your race entry and to get back out and running with us again soon.
Please consider the three resolution options listed below:
- Race credit toward your 9+1 program completion for guaranteed entry to the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon and four out of six program completion for guaranteed entry to the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half.
- Credit in your NYRR account for the race fee amount to use for a future NYRR event or training registration. Credits in your NYRR account cannot be used to make a donation, renew a membership, purchase a gift card, or as the payment method in a race drawing application or for a race entry obtained through a third party (e.g., a charity partner).
- Donate your race entry fee to NYRR.
These options will be available in your NYRR Dashboard for selection starting Saturday, October 11. If no selection is made by Thursday, October 16 at 11:59 p.m. ET, you will be given a 9+1 credit and a four out of six credit. This will be reflected in your dashboard by Saturday, October 18.
All selections are FINAL. Once you make a selection, you may NOT change your resolution option.
You will receive an email with more information.
Registered runners who have not yet picked up their premium (a New Balance long sleeve shirt) can do so at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the New Balance Run Hub from Sunday October 12 to Sunday, October 19. Finisher medals will also be available for collection during this time.

Race Free
We at New York Road Runners believe running should be accessible to everyone. To help, we created NYRR Race Free to provide race fee assistance to those who qualify financially.
In 2024, we offered 1,000+ program slots and more than 3,000 complimentary race entries, including for the TCS New York City Marathon. Race Free applications that met the eligibility criteria were pooled based on previous participation and selected by borough or zip code until all slots were filled.
Check out the Race Free page this summer for updates on the 2026 application period. (Please note runners apply in 2025 for races in the calendar year of 2026.) Note: For consideration in the 2026 program, you will need to reapply and qualify once the application period opens—access is not guaranteed.
