Race Details
Be event-ready and avoid delays on race day by claiming your new NYRR account and QR code in advance. You need your new QR code when you pick up your bib or check in for your volunteer shift. Learn more here.
Due to system updates, participants picking up their bib on race day will not appear in tracking in the NYRR app right away, but should appear in the app by race finish.
Please be aware that the NYRR Retro 4-Miler will take place during Passover. If you have any questions regarding your registration please reach out to our Runner Services team.
This throwback-themed race is set in Central Park, the birthplace of countless legendary running moments—from the first New York City Marathon to one of the earliest women’s races, the Crazylegs Mini Marathon (now the Mastercard New York Mini 10K) and beyond. Join the retro-running fun as participants celebrate their favorite decades in style on Sunday, April 13, 2025!
All participants will receive a premium short-sleeved tri-blend race T-shirt.
All event information is subject to change.

[FULL] Member-Only Standby List
This Member-Only Standby List is full.
The Member-Only Standby List is a perk for NYRR members who are willing to participate in an NYRR race if entries become available after registration has closed. These individuals will be invited to register for the race on a first-come, first-served basis.
Active NYRR Members can read about the Member-Only Standby List here.
Race Free
We at New York Road Runners believe running should be accessible to everyone. To help, we created NYRR Race Free to provide race fee assistance to those who qualify financially.
In 2024, we offered 1,000+ program slots and more than 3,000 complimentary race entries, including for the TCS New York City Marathon. Race Free applications that met the eligibility criteria were pooled based on previous participation and selected by borough or zip code until all slots were filled.
Check out the Race Free page this summer for updates on the 2026 application period. (Please note runners apply in 2025 for races in the calendar year of 2026.)
Notes on Registration
- Review the NYRR policy on start and finish cutoff times here.
- If you wish to pay in cash for your race entry, please reach out to our Runner Services team for assistance. Please be sure to include the event name and the email associated with your NYRR account.
