On September 11, 2001, Hanna was only 3 years old and in the Pentagon’s daycare.
Now, just over 25 years later, she is a United States Air Force helicopter pilot and is taking on a personal project—Run to Remember 2,977—where she is running one mile for each of the nearly 3,000 victims of 9/11.
What does it mean to be part of the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon Team Inspire?
“It’s an honor to be part of Team Inspire because, while the team highlights 26 stories, I hope my inclusion can also help tell the stories of the 2,977 people I am running to remember who lost their lives on 9/11. To run the TCS New York City Marathon 25 years later, in a city where I’ve spent so much time this past year and seen how many people’s lives are still shaped by that day and the loved ones they remember, makes this opportunity even more meaningful.”
