Amby Burfoot won the 1968 Boston Marathon, and on Oct. 10 hopes to become the first person to complete a marathon in 8 consecutive decades--teenager through age 80+--in the Hartford Marathon. He was executive editor of Runner's World magazine for nearly two decades, has written a half dozen running books, and now contributes to MarathonHandbook.com.
