The world is rich with diversity, which is reflected in the observances and recognitions celebrated by its various cultures, religions, and populations.

These are a few observances in July, from local to international:

  • Disability Pride Month
  • BIPOC Mental Health Month
  • International Nonbinary People’s Day
  • Disability Independence Day

Disability Pride Month is celebrated each July to commemorate the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act on July 26, 1990. At New York Road Runners, we celebrate our advocacy and support of athletes with disabilities and our longtime partnership with Achilles International.
