"A Time for Us to Celebrate Ourselves"

The first Front Runners New York LGBT Pride Run® took place in Central Park on June 26, 1982. On June 26, 2021, New York Road Runners and Front Runners New York will continue an ongoing collaboration at the 40th Front Runners New York LBGT Pride Run.

A new video highlighting Front Runners New York presented by New Balance looks at the 40-year history of this landmark race, which celebrates LGBTQIA+ pride and the ongoing movement toward equality, diversity, and inclusiveness. Featuring historical footage from the Pride Run and the LGBTQ rights movement, and interviews with longtime and recent members of Front Runners New York, the video is a moving and passionate celebration of an incredible journey and a recognition that together we still have a long way to go.

Registration for the in-person Front Runners New York LGBT Pride Run has reached capacity; you can register for the Virtual Front Runners New York LGBT Pride Run 5K here.
