Peter Ciaccia, NYRR’s former president of events and the former race director of the TCS New York City Marathon, is putting on a virtual 5K called the Montauk Need 2 Feed, with proceeds benefiting the Montauk Food Pantry in New York.
Nikki Hiltz, with the Golden Coast Track Club, will hold a Virtual Pride 5K, with proceeds to benefit the Trevor Project.

Michael Ortiz, a Brooklyn runner, is not letting a pandemic stand in the way of his goal of completing 100 100-mile ultramarathons in as many weeks. He’s just running them in his 960-square-foot apartment now.

The 5000 Mile Run Club of Greensboro, NC, 48 members strong, Sunday surpassed a Guinness world record for continuous relay miles run. Club members strenuously observed social distancing during their feat.
The running community will come together virtually today to run 2.23 miles in honor of Ahmaud Arbery, the Georgia man who was shot on February 23 while running through his neighborhood. Today would have been Arbery’s 26th birthday. His former track coach asks runners to tag their runs on social media with #IRunWithMaud.
