 Jesús is on the autism spectrum and is the father of a non-verbal Level 3 autistic son, who he hopes to inspire through his strength and resilience. In January, he struggled to finish 6 kilometers in an hour—now he is determined to challenge misconceptions about invisible disabilities like autism, particularly within the Latino community.

What are you most excited about for the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon, which is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic 5-boro marathon course?

 “I’m most excited about experiencing New York City in a completely different way, running through the iconic streets and landmarks that I’ve always loved. And knowing that I’ll be there for the 50th anniversary makes it even more special—it’s one of those milestones that feels really big, and I’m excited to be part of it.”
