Refund Protection
NYRR allows the purchase of refund protection through Teak, a refund program that provides registration fee protection on all paid events. This includes races and Group Training, and it will protect additional product (such as NYRR x Runna) fees if it is an add-on to a race.

How to Purchase Refund Protection
You can add refund protection to your cart before you check out. Protection is applied to everything in the cart (except for donations and membership purchases).
If you do not add refund protection to your cart, you may purchase it in your dashboard for us to 5 days after your registration. You can access this area by going to “Your Events” and clicking on the registration you want to protect.
If you purchase refund protection and would like to submit a claim via Teak, follow these steps:
- Go to the Your Events tab on your dashboard
- Find your registration and click View Registration
- Scroll to the bottom of the registration to “Refundable Registration”
- Click Request a Refund
In this area, you will be able to view terms and conditions and email the provider.
