Entrants (except as otherwise noted below) who defer their entry for the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half by following these instructions will have guaranteed non-complimentary entry to the 2027 United Airlines NYC Half.

All 2026 entry fees are non-refundable. Once you have deferred or cancelled, you cannot be reinstated into the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half. If you are eligible to claim an entry in 2027, you will not be automatically placed in the following year's race. You will still need to claim that entry for the 2027 race and pay all registration fees.

Please note:  Runners who earn guaranteed entry to the 2026 race because they canceled in 2025 cannot cancel a second time (in 2026) and become eligible for deferment to 2027.

Cancellation and Deferral Instructions

• Online: Log in to your NYRR account with your email address and password. On your dashboard, navigate to your 2026 United Airlines NYC Half registration in the "Your Events" tab. In the "Registration options" drop down, select "Cancel Registration" and continue through the steps that follow to cancel your 2026 United Airlines NYC Half entry. The deadline to cancel online will be 11:59 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 14, 2026. It will be noted during the cancellation process if you are eligible for deferment to 2027.
• In person: Cancellations and deferrals will be accepted in person at the United Airlines NYC Half Experience (March 12-14, 2026).

Official Charity Partner Program Entrants

If you applied through an Official Charity Partner and wish to defer, please contact your charity directly for deferral requirements.

International Tour Operator Entrants

If you applied through an International Tour Operator and wish to cancel, please contact your tour operator directly. Canceled entrants will not receive guaranteed entry to the 2027 United Airlines NYC Half or subsequent editions of the United Airlines NYC Half.
