Cancellation and Deferral
2026 RBC Brooklyn Half
Entrants (except as otherwise noted below) who defer their entry for the 2026 RBC Brooklyn Halfby following these instructions will have guaranteed non-complimentary entry to the 2027 RBC Brooklyn Half.
All 2026 entry fees are non-refundable. Once you have deferred or cancelled, you cannot be reinstated into the 2026 RBC Brooklyn Half. If you are eligible to claim an entry in 2027, you will not be automatically placed in the following year's race. You will still need to claim that entry for the 2027 race and pay all registration fees.
Please note: Runners who earn guaranteed entry to the 2026 race because they canceled in 2025 cannot cancel a second time (in 2026) and become eligible for deferment to 2027.
Cancellation and Deferral Instructions
- Online: Log in to your NYRR account with your email address and password. On your dashboard, navigate to your 2026 RBC Brooklyn Half registration in the "Your Events" tab. In the "Registration options" drop down, select "Cancel Registration" and continue through the steps that follow to cancel your 2026 RBC Brooklyn Half entry. The deadline to cancel online will be 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, May 15, 2026. It will be noted during the cancellation process if you are eligible for deferment to 2027.
- In person: Cancellations will be accepted in person at the RBC Brooklyn Half Expo (May 13-15, 2026).
International Tour Operator Entrants
If you applied through an International Tour Operator and wish to cancel, please contact your tour operator directly. Withdrawn entrants will not receive guaranteed entry to the 2027 RBC Brooklyn Half or subsequent editions of the Brooklyn Half.
