How would you describe your coaching style?
I enjoy running and I want all runners I meet to do the same. I try my best to create relationships, even in a group setting, meeting the athletes wherever they are on their fitness journey and taking the time to find out about them, their strengths and their challenges. My hope is that by the end of our time together, they become as in love with running as I am and that they can continue to run healthy and run strong.
What is your proudest coaching moment?
I love when runners tell me that they had me in their head as they were charging up a hill or giving them that last push as they approach the finish line.
What is your favorite workout to coach and why?
I absolutely LOVE 800s! They improve your running economy, improve mental toughness, and they are a good predictor of race day performance and overall fitness. The distance is not quite long enough to wear you out (unless you do 10-12 intervals), but long enough to make you feel like a total badass!

Where is your favorite place to run in New York City?
I love running on the Henry Hudson Greenway, especially in the early mornings when the city is still asleep. It's so peaceful and calm and it's my time to commune with nature. It's a great way to start the day!
What is your favorite NYRR race?
Besides the 26.2 party through the 5 boroughs, I always look forward to the Achilles Hope and Possibility Race. I am so inspired by the differently-abled athletes.
