Consistency is key, but having fun is more important. Because without fun, what is the point?
Running MottoBorn in Argentina, Elizabeth moved to New York City in 2005 and has run 250+ races since.
How would you describe your coaching style?
Consistency is key. If we wait for the perfect conditions, we'll never get anything done. We get out, have fun, and do the work. It has to be done, and there are no excuses. But as a coach, I look for weaknesses and address them to avoid injuries, burnout, and any issues. On the other hand, as soon as there is an issue, we don't run through it, we address it, correct it, and start again. .
What is your proudest coaching moment?
I’ve coached many athletes who have accomplished time or qualification goals that they never thought possible. Those are amazing moments. And when an athlete is balanced and strong and dares to give it all, my heart skips a beat.
What is your favorite workout to coach and why?
It depends on the athlete. I feel very inspired when a runner completes a workout that they fear. Whether that is a tempo run, short intervals, or long runs, I love coaching athletes through tough workouts!

Where is your favorite place to run in New York City?
The Central Park bridle path. It’s so peaceful. The reservoir is a close second, but it has to be before 6:30 a.m. so it’s not crowded.
What is your favorite NYRR race?
This is a very tough question. I love the TCS New York City Marathon, there’s just nothing like it. It was my first marathon, and it has given me so many amazing memories through the years! But the United Airlines NYC Half is also deep within my heart.
