Special limited-edition products celebrating 50 years through the five boroughs include:

New Balance Five-Borough Collection

New Balance is celebrating the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon with a collection inspired by the city’s vibrant culture and the iconic wheat-pasted posters that define the city’s streetscapes. The design reflects the layers of stories, experiences, and energy that shape New York, bringing bold graphics and layered storytelling to race-day and lifestyle essentials.

In addition to the official New Balance 2026 TCS New York City Marathon Collection, launched Sept. 10, and the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon Finisher Collection, launched Oct. 8, New Balance’s Five-Boroughs Collection features special-edition products honoring the 50th anniversary of the race's route through all five boroughs.

The collection is available online and will be at the TCS New York City Marathon Expo from Thursday, Oct. 29, through Saturday, Oct. 31. Apparel in the collection ranges from a suggested retail price of $45 to $190, while footwear ranges from $155 to $290.

New York or Nowhere Poster

New York or Nowhere (NYON), in its second year as the official poster partner of the TCS New York City Marathon, marks the 50th anniversary of the 5-boro course by reimagining Brooklyn-based artist James Grashow’s iconic 1983 marathon print as the official 2026 poster. Drawing on Grashow’s distinctive woodcut technique and intricate portrayal of New York City in motion, NYON revisits the original artwork to honor its legacy while celebrating this milestone in marathon history. The poster will launch later this month online and in store at their flagship. NYON will also have a dedicated booth at the TCS New York City Marathon Expo, featuring the poster alongside a commemorative mug and an Expo-exclusive limited-edition tote bag.

“This project is about so much more than creating a poster. When I first saw Jimmy Grashow’s original print, there was something about it that felt rare. We wanted to reimagine the piece for the modern age while honoring the incredible detail Jimmy carved into the original. To be able to bring this work back to life while celebrating 50 years of the 5-boro course is really special,” said Quincy Moore, Founder & CEO of New York or Nowhere.

Knockaround Sunglasses

Knockaround, the official sunglasses partner of New York Road Runners, has released three styles created for the TCS New York City Marathon, including a limited-edition design celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 5-boro course.

Built on Knockaround's Fast Lanes Sport frame, the NYRR x Knockaround 50th anniversary sunglasses feature lilac reflective lenses, colorfully striped cream frames and rubber nose pads that stay put mile after mile. A Lady Liberty and "50" are etched into the lenses, and a commemorative pouch and box complete the package.

About the History of the New York City Marathon (1970–2026)

Initially run in 1970 as four-plus laps of Central Park with 55 finishers, the New York City Marathon left the park and was run through the five boroughs for the first time on Oct. 24, 1976, to celebrate the U.S. Bicentennial and uplift the city. The landmark move set the standard for the modern marathon event. This year, New York Road Runners is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 5-boro marathon course and setting a goal of raising $100 million for its Official Charity Partner Program, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Produced by the world’s premier running organization, today the TCS New York City Marathon is consistently one of the largest marathons in the world, bringing together nearly 60,000 participants and more than 2 million spectators for the best day of the year, in the best city in the world.
